This one wobbly, paint-spattered utility stool came within moments of becoming part of a yard sale before I pleaded its case. The metal work was still rock-solid. The wooden top was a bit warped, but easily salvageable. It just needed an overhaul and a bit of 'Smash' to make it a unique piece of furniture.
After some planing and sanding to flatten the seat, a stained glass mosaic was applied and grouted in place. A bit of black metal paint and four new rubber feet later, the stool is practically unrecognizable from its original state.
